Physical EducationMiddle School physical education aids in the development of participation skills: effort, attitude, cooperation, preparation, and effective listening. Students also are introduced to the basic elements of physical fitness. Movement skills are developed through team and individual sports, games, cooperative challenges, and a variety of activities that benefit fitness and motor skill development. In Upper School, classes are designed to encourage students to include regular activity in their daily lifestyle and to make appropriate choices related to health, nutrition, physical fitness, goal setting and time management. Most courses are self-directed and designed to provide a program of attainable and relevant fitness goals. Faculty |
