Science
Middle School students assume the role of scientist as they explore and discover the biological and physical world in which they live. In addition to acquiring process skills, students build vocabulary and scientific literacy as they engage in individual, paired, and group activities.
Upper School science courses develop concepts and relationships through controlled laboratory experiments, class discussion, and written communication. Science courses also develop the students’ quantitative reasoning skills, thus reinforcing and applying skills from mathematics classes. Above all, students have the opportunity to question and search for evidence supporting scientific ideas.
