Circulation and fines

The library owns material in various forms: paper resources (including books, magazines, and newspapers), video tapes and DVDs, and audio materials. Students are allowed to check out any of the aforementioned materials unless they are marked 'non-circulating' or 'reference.'

Circulation periods for books are two weeks,  for magazines one week.

Overdue notices are posted in students' mailboxes twice each quarter. There are no fines for overdue materials.

If, however, materials are over three months overdue, they are considered lost. At that point, a bill is mailed to parents for the cost of the book, plus a $7.50 charge for handling.

Facilities and Hours

The University Prep Library houses in excess of 14,000 books and periodicals. We also subscribe to several databases and search engines, many of which can be viewed on the page.

The library is open Monday through Friday during school sessions from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
